100 Things I am Grateful For: Thanksgiving 2025 Edition

It is easy to get frustrated with life and see things in a negative light. It’s not hard going down the rabbit hole of reasons on “why life sucks so bad.” 

Ever since I got sober from smoking marijuana though,  I’ve been doing my best to practice daily gratitude. And, now that we are in the season of gratitude, I thought it would be great to write down all the things I am grateful for. 

100 Things I am Grateful For: Thanksgiving 2025 Edition

  1. A warm and cozy apartment where I feel safe
  2. Having a loving wonderful family who loves and cares about me deeply (and who I love and care about deeply)
  3. My twin sister
  4. My Mom
  5. My Dad
  6. My Step-Dad
  7. My loving boyfriend who supports me in everything I do
  8. My niece and nephew and listening to them laugh
  9. Being employed at a company with authentic and friendly people, where I also receive benefits like PTO and health care (and get to work from home!)
  10. My health
  11. My ability to run and train for marathons.
  12. Cool crisp fresh air
  13. A morning routine
  14. A sleep routine 
  15. Clean, safe water to drink
  16. Free laundry at my apartment complex
  17. The ability to live and breathe.
  18. My new feather down comforter and helps me get good sleep 
  19. My pets who love my unconditionally
  20. My ability to choose self-care and self love over emotional suffering. 
  21. A new pair of running shoes
  22. A stable Internet connection so that I can work, attend grad school online, and blog. 
  23. Having a reliable car that safely gets me where I need to be
  24. Anyone who works in customer service or retail. These people help you live the life you want to live. Be nice to them!
  25. My clothes that help me feel warm and comfortable
  26. Watching a good movie
  27. Healthy, delicious tasting food
  28. That so many people I love are alive
  29. Hot water so that I can take showers and baths
  30. The people who check in on me
  31. The power to make my own choices and decisions
  32. The soothing effect of candles
  33. Going out in nature and enjoying what Mother Earth gave us
  34. Warm, delicious tasting coffee
  35. The heat in my apartment that keeps me warm and safe.
  36. My fully working fridge that keeps my food fresh.
  37. Conversations that heal relationships
  38. Being able to celebrate each year as I grow and get older.
  39. Eyes that take in the beauty of the world.
  40. Ears that let you soak in your favorite music.
  41. The way challenges can lead to unexpected growth.
  42. The chance to begin again, as many times as it takes.
  43. A nose that brings the scent of life’s sweetest moments.
  44. Arms that help me carry important things.
  45. Legs that carry me wherever I choose to go.
  46. A mouth that lets me savor every delicious bite.
  47. Clean air
  48. A good belly laugh
  49. A reliable vet that keeps my pets healthy
  50. An exchanged smile from someone I care about
  51. The potential of a blank page or a new day.
  52. The ability to write and express myself. 
  53. Receiving a thank you card
  54. Sleeping in
  55. My comfy bath robe
  56. Starlit skies
  57. Looking back on life and seeing how far I’ve come
  58. The spark of inspiration that comes out of nowhere.
  59. Discovering new trails and hidden places in nature.
  60. Good hair days

  62. Electricity, and the comfort of experiencing a world where it exists.
  63. The feeling of the first snowfall. 
  64. How pretty Christmas lights are

  100. My life. It’s mine, and I am grateful.
